Soccer Fellowship
July 2, 2009

Joshua Kirkland joined our soccer fellowship!

M. Timothy Park whose prayer is to spread the gospel through soccer playing, waited for months for Joshua to join in the soccer fellowship that takes place every week after Sunday Worship Service. Finally, Joshua decided to join the team.

On May 3, 2009, Joshua and our men coworkers had a soccer fellowship with North York UBF. They all enjoyed themselves and had a great time in our Lord Jesus.

M. Timothy Park was so happy that he prepared a B.B.Q. dinner (with some support from M. Isaac’s family) and everyone could enjoy a delicious meal after the soccer.

Victoria Day Picnic!
June 1, 2009

On May 18, Victoria Day, Humber chapter had a picnic and had a wonderful time admiring the nature, together with our children. Along with praying to serve our summer ministry, we had a 5-minute message delivered by M. David Lee, sing-a-long led by M. David Na and games organized by Mary Cha. It was great to be outdoors and in the fresh air, seeing the green grass and the beautiful trees that reminded us of our amazing God who faithfully brings us the season of spring after every long, cold and dreary winter.

We are praying to serve summer ministry with much prayer and fishing and 1:1 bible studies. We pray to invite 8 students to our Canadian SBC.

God Called M. Sarah Yoo To His Kingdom!
June 1, 2009

God took M. Sarah Yoo to his home on May 14, 2009. She had struggled with lung cancer since last August, 2008. She fought the good fight to the end while serving God’s flock from Iowa University and in God’s time she took eternal rest in the Lord. On May 21, there was a homecoming ceremony, and the following morning, there was a burial service at Colonial funeral home in Chicago.

Dr. Abraham T. Kim delivered the message based on John 10:27-28, “I give them Eternal life.” She lived a life of faith dedicated for Iowa City college students and died on duty as a soldier of Christ with the promise of eternal life.

We sent M. Rebekah S. Lee and Mercy Cha to attend the service and to pray for the remaining families. We continue to pray for M. Joshua Yoo to be strong in the grace of Jesus and find comfort and peace in the Lord. Also, his two young children, John and Hannah, may grow as wonderful children of God in God’s protection. May God bless M. Joshua Yoo to complete his PhD study in chemistry and be used for God’s redemptive work greatly.

Welcome Msn. Luke and Pauline!
April 26, 2009

M. Luke and Pauline Moon from Chicago UBF came to visit us from Apr 17 to 20, 2009. M. Luke had recently celebrated his 60th birthday. Thank God for his life-long devotion and service to advance the gospel of Jesus to many Korean students and now, to American students. He and his wife gave up all things that are now considered rubbish to gain Jesus, and came to USA as missionaries in their middle age. Surely it was not easy for them to do so, but God blessed their decision of faith. God gave M. Luke many victories in his new life in America such as a career and a shepherd life. He revealed good Christian influences of living by faith to many people around him.

Thank God for giving us a wonderful time of fellowship with them. M. Luke Moon served us with group bible studies twice and shared a lot of his life’s experience and insight and wisdom in living by faith. May God continue to bless his family to serve Loyola campus co-working with S. Jim and Helen Rarick

God’s Blessing on GTA & Hamilton EBC!
April 26, 2009

Praise Jesus who died on the cross and rose again from the dead! Thank Jesus who gives us living hope in the kingdom of God. God blessed our Easter Bible Conference (April 11 & 12) abundantly with 149 attendants including guests from Ukraine (2), Montreal (4), and Guelph (1).

We studied Jesus’ death and resurrection based on Mark 15 and 16. There were 5 powerful messages including messages by 3 young disciples (Sheila Htoo, Luis Perdomo, Paul Lee Jr). During our conference, we had icebreakers, sing-a-longs, and a heart-moving skit presented by Humber UBF to enhance the message. There was a beautiful piece performed by the quintet ensemble and also an HBF chorus led by John Lee (North York).

In addition, we had time to listen to life testimonies by Chantel Ryan (Humber), Bushay James (Toronto), Sara Lee (Toronto, 2nd gen), and Andrew Han Jr. (North York, 2nd gen). We thank God for two foreign delegates from Ukraine, Olena (Kiev UBF) and Oksana (Odessa UBF) who shared their beautiful life testimonies and mission reports. Thank God for Dr. Peter Kim and M. John Lee for their prayer support for us.

As a whole, we could see the living God who has been growing each chapter. This conference had improved in quality; it was full of life and joy. Our 2nd gens participated as growing disciples and coworkers in the work of God. We could see God’s hope and vision for Toronto, Canada, and the whole world! I was personally touched by Jesus who did not save himself but was forsaken by God in order to save sinners like me. It was God’s amazing grace, though I am undeserved. Thank Jesus who saved me from all my sins and gave me a living hope through his death and resurrection. May God continue to grow each chapter in GTA and Hamilton, and in Canada to spread the gospel of Jesus. May God bless Canada as a kingdom of priest and a Holy Nation.

Ps; we also thank God for a wonderful fellowship with S. Olena and Oksana at our Humber chapter with all our coworkers.

HBF servants' meeting
March 10, 2009

HBF servants' meeting was held on Feb. 21, 2009 at Humber Chapter.

There were 16 attendants: 5 HBF senior students (gr. 11 & gr. 12), 6 HBF graduate students, and 5 missionaries. After having dinner fellowship, we had a discussion for about two hours. The decisions made are in the following order:

(1) We want to have a bowling fellowship on Tuesday, March 17, to add to our monthly HBF meetings and to have a good time together during the March Break. The main participants in this program will be our GTA region students (both graduate and current HBF students). However, some teachers and parents can also participate in this activity, as they are most likely giving the students a ride. The length of this bowling activity will be 2 hours (from 7-9 PM). A detailed plan will be worked out by the preparation committee members (Paul Lee, Andrew Han, John Lee, Mary Cha, and Rebekah Kim).

(2) We'd like to have a praise night for everyone during our GTA & Hamilton Easter Bible Conference. Our plan is to spend some time doing icebreakers/games (the grade 11 students have volunteered to plan for this) and have around 1 hour of singspiration on Saturday night (April 11), after finishing the entire program. (However, this plan should be approved during our senior servants' prayer meeting on March 8.)

(3) We want to encourage all of our university students (HBF graduate students) to involve as shepherds/shepherdesses and Bible teachers to serve HBF students.

(4) We will have a Canadian HBF servants' meeting in order to develop a program for HBF during the Canadian SBC.

3. S. Tsukasa and 2 children to adjust well to new environment

2009 CIS Leader’s Bible conference report
January 25, 2009
Dr. John's message - Humber UBF

This year, the CIS conference was held on January 16-18 in Izmir (old name: Smyrna), Turkey, which is geographically convenient for each nation to gather together. The purpose of the conference was to pray for Muslim mission and to encourage M. Vladimir Point who struggles alone.

Dr. Peter Kim, the CIS director, delivered an opening message, “A famine of hearing the words of the Lord” from Amos 8:11. He thanked God for pioneering 7 CIS nations out of 12 nations. He said in his message that the real problem is not the global economic crisis or political and social problems, but the famine of hearing the word of the Lord. He encouraged us to study the word of God diligently. He gave us a clear prayer topic, which is to restore our first love through the conference.

Dr. John Jun delivered the 1st lecture, titled “Restore your first love”. In his message, he said the Christians in Ephesus worked hard to persevere and endure hardships for Jesus’ name. They struggled hard to keep the truth of God in an immoral atmosphere in Ephesus; however, when they did not struggle hard to keep personal relationship with Jesus, they lost their first love. Jesus rebuked them to repent. Likewise, it’s easy to be like those Ephesian Christians, but when we repent, God will use us continually. Dr. John Jun encouraged us to repent and restore our first love.

On the second day, M. John Lee from Odessa UBF delivered a message, called “Wash one another’s feet” (John 13:1-17). In his message, he asked us to practice washing one another’s feet starting with our husband or wife.

On Sunday, Pastor Ron Word delivered a Sunday message “Love is…” (1Cor13). He said when we speak and act based on the love of God, God will use us as a blessing.

There were wonderful and various programs:

1) Graceful, inspiring, and heart moving mission reports from each chapter.

2) 3 special lectures were given: “Orthodox and Monasticism – UBF spirituality” by Dr. John Choi from England UBF; “Conflicts and Resolution: Our Life by the Grace of God” by Dr. Paul Hong; and Dr. Ju Chan Kim, a UBF Cooperating missionary in Turkey, gave a lecture about the early Christians’ 7 spiritualities. He commented that UBF resembles the early church Christians a lot.

3) There was a strategic meeting to serve CIS ministry.

I cannot write all the details of graceful mission reports, but I could see our missionaries’ sincere struggle and love for CIS mission as well as their sacrificial dedication.

Nowadays, it has become difficult to get a VISA status. In the past, in order to get their VISA status, missionaries could go to a nearby nation to apply and get VISA that lasted 3 to 6 months, but now the law has changed. To get VISA, the person has to go back to his/her own country with all the family only to get 3 to 6 months VISA. M. Stephen Kim (Moscow) hurriedly went back to Korea with his family to renew his VISA with much prayer, since there was not much time, and God helped them to get their VISA extended. Also, Moscow is the most expensive city to live in the world. Despite this, our missionary coworkers are hard working, persevering, and filled with great compassion to serve God’s mission. Still, they repented with tears for not loving Jesus with their first love. Through the Conference, each person renewed his/her first love to give his/her life to serve God. By the grace of God, I could attend 2009 CIS leader’s Bible conference and I have received much grace because I could renew my first love for Jesus who sacrificed his life for sinners like me. God worked mightily upon this conference with powerful messages and the Holy Spirit from beginning to the end. I could open my heart and eyes to see the work of God in CIS nations, and could have vision for CIS and Muslim mission.

I also had a chance to visit 7 church sites scattered all over Turkey with other servants of God. Through this journey, I could feel closer to our forefathers and realize their love and zeal for the Lord. I was particularly moved when I went to Cappadocia where the underground city still remained. The early Christians lived there and hid from persecutions. There were almost 1,000,000 Christians who loved the Lord fervently and kept their life of faith. In the book of Revelation 2-3, there were messages for 7 churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamon, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea. When I visited these sites and saw the remains and ruins from those churches, I could see historical proof and basis.

Thank God for blessing CIS leaders Bible conference abundantly. The prayer topics are as follows:

1. To pioneer 5 more CIS countries among 12 CIS nations and 3 Baltic nations.
2. To double CIS ministry by 2010, and for Dr. Peter Kim
3. To send out 100,000 missionaries by 2041 nations
4. Pray for Dr. John Jun to serve Asian directors conference (Jan22-24),

Latin (1.29-2.1) and North America Staff conference (2.24-26).

Goodbye 2008! Hello 2009!
January 10, 2009

On Dec. 31, we all gathered and had an 'End of 2008' party.

It was an eventful year and we wanted to thank God for his grace and mercy on us.

After a potluck dinner, there was a 5-minute message. We had our annual family talent show, where each of the five families showed off their talent. There was funny dance by Timothy Park's family, and a music video presentation by Paulus Cha's family. In addition, David Lee's, Timothy Lee's and Isaac Lee's families all demonstrated their musical skills through singing and piano playing.

We all had a good time playing games prepared by Timothy Park, with everyone divided into two groups who competed against each other for points. While winners were awarded prizes like ramen noodles and candy, there were also losers, particularly David Lee and Isaac Lee whose penalty was to wash the dishes together on the following Sunday after lunch fellowship.

We also watched a movie slide show of all that had happened in Humber Chapter during last year. Lastly, while holding candles, we had silent prayer time and welcomed the year 2009.

On the first day of 2009, we gathered together once again, along with Chantel and Hilary at Isaac Lee's home, and ate 'rice cake soup', a traditional Korean New Year's Day dish. Soon after, the children all participated in the traditional bowing ceremony celebrated in Korea on New Year's Day, with the parents blessing them and handing out money. And of course, all the children were very happy.

After that, we all enjoyed 'a traditional game called 윷놀이(Yoot-Nol-Yi)' and a losing team served noodles and ate together, and prepared out hearts to start the new year 2009.

Thank and praise God who has been with us and who has guided each of us in his grace.

May God fill us with God's vision to serve God and his flock with one spirit.

One Canadian Shepherd's family celebrates their 10th wedding anniversary!
January 10, 2009

Thank God for David and Connie Jumeau who became a good example of God's family and a house church in this ungodly world. By the grace of God, they love God and love each other in the Lord and serve young students on campus with the gospel of Jesus.

They came to celebrate their wedding anniversary in Toronto.

God blessed their life of faith for the last 10 years, and blessed them with 5 kids, and several bible students under their care.

We were very happy to see them with their youngest child, Christopher Jumeau. May God fill their hearts with the love of God and God's compassion as they serve the Lord and many young people in this generation.

May God raise up many godly families in Canada.

Report: Humber CBF Christmas Worship Service
December 29, 2008

Our Humber CBF had a Christmas Worship Service on Dec. 25, 2008 together with BBF and all the parents.

We gathered at our Bible house at 1 pm and listened to a message based on Luke 2:1-14, “Glory to God, Peace to Men” and delivered by M. Isaac Lee. During the worship service, the girls’ group (Rebekah Lee Jr, Hannah and Joan Park) and the boys’ group (Caleb Lee and Sion Lee) each performed a lovely Christmas song.

The second part of the program involved music and drama. We first enjoyed a funny movie presentation filmed by the BBF bible teachers (Susanna Park and Grace Cha), starring David Lee and Ha Eun Lee. Next, there was special song and dance performance by Jung Lin Chung and Ju Eun Lee, who picked out two people from the audience to join their dance, and gave them candy as a reward. There was also a music trio performed by Hannah Park, Grace Cha, and Susanna Park, who played the violin, piano, and flute, respectively. Finally, we had a Christmas drama, written and directed by Mary Cha, with all the CBF children making up the cast.

Thirdly, there was a joyous time for gift exchange, where each child found out who their Secret Santa was. After watching a heart-moving movie called “The Fourth Wise Man” together, we had a Christmas dinner at a restaurant.

Thank God for growing our CBF children in the grace and wisdom of Jesus through Bible study and prayer support from parents. May God mold them as good influences to their friends and classmates.

Thank God for Mary Cha and Sarah Cha who are Bible teachers for the girls’ team and the boys’ team and their support for CBF ministry. They helped their team to prepare for many performances. In addition, thank God for Grace Cha and Susanna Park who are BBF Bible teachers. May God grow all of them as good shepherdesses and Bible teachers.

GTA HBF Christmas Worship Service Report
December 29, 2008

Our HBF had a wonderful Christmas worship service on Dec. 24, 2008 at York chapter. About 70 people gathered from 8 chapters, including Hamilton and Guelph. Our HBF worship service was a small-version of a heavenly feast, filled with the word of God, music, drama, food, and fellowship with God's people.

The first part of the program was the worship service. Samuel Yoon (York) was the presider, and the prayer servants were M. Isaac Kim (North York), Sarah-Little Kim (Chicago), and Grace Chung (St. George). The message was delivered by M. Paulus Cha based on Luke 2:1-14, "Glory to God, peace to men"'. Through the message, we learned that the birth of Jesus is glory to God and peace to men because Jesus restored the creation order through his humble obedience and Jesus took away all our sins and made us children of God. During the service, a special music piece was performed by GTA HBF.

During the second part of the program, there were two instrumental performances performed by each region (Guelph, Hamilton). Next, there was a flute solo by Samuel Yoon and a beautiful Christmas Medley by GTA HBF. Finally, the older HBF students (grades 11-12) performed a humorous drama that was written by Paulina Lee (gr 11, Toronto). The audience, which included many 2nd gens, family members, missionaries, and directors, were all amused by the enthusiastic and hilarious drama cast who provided many laughs throughout the play.

All our HBF students participated in the program and worshiped our Lord, baby Jesus. We also had a special guest from Chicago UBF. Thank God for Sarah Little Kim who came to our HBF worship service and served as a prayer servant. Also thank God for our 2nd gen. university students (who had graduated from HBF 1-2 years ago).

They volunteered as servants and co-worked with the HBF students and missionaries. Their names are as follows: Sara Lee (Toronto) served the drama as one of the directors with M. Andrew Lee. Joan Lee (York) also served the drama as an assistant director. Johnny Lee (North York) led the singspiration and sang a special song called "O Holy Night". Mary Cha (Humber) and Rebekah Lee (Toronto) served the GTA music ensemble team.

Thank God for their participation as coworkers to serve God. May God continue to grow all our 2nd gen. students as spiritual leaders and blessings in this generation.

The third part was our Christmas reception. A delicious turkey dinner was served by York chapter. We all enjoyed the joyful dinner fellowship. Thank and praise God for sending Jesus as a baby to be our Lord; Jesus is glory to God and peace to men.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Report: Humber UBF Welcomes Mother Barry, M. Mark and Anna Yang!
December 9, 2008

Thank God for these great servants of God who came to visit us after our GTA & Hamilton United Christmas Worship Service. Mother Barry gave us a wonderful message based on Isaiah 8:19-9:7, and then visited each chapter to pray and encourage all the missionaries and shepherds. Mother Barry, M. Mark and Anna Yang came to our chapter. We were very happy to have such a wonderful opportunity! All of our missionaries were very excited!

We had lunch together, and afterwards, some of us brought our Bibles and asked Mother Barry to sign our Bibles. She then listened to each person's key verse and wrote a few words on our Bibles. (It was m. David Lee's inspiration.) Then, we had a short presentation of Humber history, which was rooted from the faith, and compassion of Dr. Samuel Lee and Mother Barry. We also had the time to bring our questions to Mother Barry, who answered them with heart-felt love.

We also thank God for M. Anna and Mark Yang who served us with love and prayed for us. Despite his jet lag, M. Mark Yang came and supported our united Christmas worship service and then served the Bible workshop for several directors and shepherds.

Report: Humber Fall Bible Academy
November 11, 2008

Humber UBF held its Fall Bible Academy on Nov 7, 2008.

We thank and praise God for blessing our Bible Academy with the grace of God and a powerful message. We studied John 4:1-26, Jesus the Living water, and S. David Jumeau (Montreal) delivered a powerful message. John Lee (North York) led the singspiration and performed a special song, titled "Know You More."

Among the attendants, Joshua Kirkland (Humber year 1), Ian (Humber 1), and Lauren (Georgian 1) came and enjoyed the word of God and fellowship. Mary Cha (UTM 2) and S. Maria Kim shared their testimonies.

Through the message, 'Jesus, the Living Water', we learned that nothing in the world quenches our thirsty soul. Like the Samaritan woman, we all try hard to find someone or something to satisfy us but we end up only disappointed, hurt and troubled, but Jesus the Living water quenches our thirst. Thank and praise Jesus who came down to meet and offer us the living water as he did with the Samaritan woman.

S. Maria Kim (Inchon UBF) shared her beautiful life testimony. In the past, she was lonely and thirsty and wanted to receive human love and attention to satisfy her soul but she confessed that she wasn't happy; she was thirstier. She confessed that Jesus is her true object of worship. Now she is full of desire to serve Jesus and his flock.

Mary Cha shared her testimony based on John 4:1-26. As 2nd gen, she grew up as a Christian but she also needed her own personal faith. She tried to satisfy her soul by having things in the world, such as clothes, money, fun, etc, but she knew that those things can never satisfy her soul because she still finds her soul empty, but she confessed that only Jesus is the living water.

After that, we had eating fellowship together. We were all joyful because of the grace of our Lord Jesus who is the Living water. Our coworkers prayed for 2 weeks to prepare this Bible Academy and were full of thanksgiving.

We have been praying and serving Humber College, Guelph-Humber University and UTM for the last 5 years. It has not been easy, but our coworkers never give up and diligently serve fishing ministry and God is sending us faithful students who come for Bible study and worship service. May God accept all our prayer for Humber Campus and UTM and raise one Abraham and One Sarah of faith in each campus.

Especially, we thank God for Montreal and North York coworkers and their prayer support for our Bible academy. May God continue to bless Canada to be a kingdom of priest and a Holy Nation.

Report: Holy-Win Day Worship Service
November 4, 2008
Holy-Win Worship Service
Thank God for helping us to hold our annual Holy-Win Day worship service. We have been holding this service for the past 4 years. We started this special service in order to help our CBF children not to be influenced by a secular culture but have a clear identity as God’s children. On October 31, our CBF children gathered together with their parents at 7 PM.

First, M. Paulus Cha delivered a 5 min. message based on Mk 12:28-34, “Love the Lord Your God.” From his message, we learned that our God is the only God who is worthy of our worship. We also learned we must worship God with all our hearts, soul and strength.

Second, our CBF children had a talent show. Each one demonstrated a talent they had, whether it was singing, playing an instrument, or showing martial arts skills. Four children also recited the Ten Commandments. (The children had actually memorized the commandments the previous week for a memorization contest. The three children who memorized the best were prized, as well as those who participated.)

Third, a bag filled with treats was given to each child. Then, there was a snack and movie fellowship at M. Timothy Park’s new house. All our children enjoyed the evening and were happy.

Thank God for growing each child in the grace of our Lord Jesus. May God make them His children and blessings for the world.

Report: Humber UBF Thanksgiving Worship Service 2008
October 27, 2008

On October 12, 2008, we had our Thanksgiving Worship Service, and we studied Psalm 65. Through this study, we are reminded of the grace of our Lord Jesus, his forgiveness, and his love for each one of us for the past one year.

God sent Chantel Ryan and Joshua Kirkland who are faithfully coming to our worship services. Chantel even brought her parents and her boyfriend. S. Maria Kim who came from Korea to study English also invited 2 students from her English class. Chantel Ryan shared her Thanksgiving testimony, and she brought a large delicious cake out of thanks for the Lord. Mary and Sarah Cha played a violin piece for the service. We all had Thanksgiving turkey lunch together.

On Sunday evening, we also had CBF Thanksgiving worship service, and M. Isaac Lee delivered a message. Each child shared his/her Thanksgiving testimony. Each child also performed a music piece and the boys' team and girls' team both sang a special song. We thank God for growing our CBF children through CBF worship service under M. Isaac Lee's prayer and faithful service.

On the following day, on October 13, we all gathered together and shared our thanksgiving testimonies and had lunch fellowship at M. Timothy Park's new house. God blessed them to purchase a house near Humber UBF. God was with each missionary family and provided them and grew them in every way. God also accepted our prayer for Humber Campus and began to send students to study the Bible and come to worship service. Our women coworkers dedicate themselves and serve fishing and 1:1 ministry, while our men coworkers are still overcoming the new environment, their jobs, their business, and supporting God's ministry through prayer and practical help. God blessed M. David Lee with a full time job at a Canadian company even though he came to Canada only 2 years ago. He takes care of Humber UBF homepage, and his wife, M. Maria serves 2 sheep. M. Timothy Lee has been studying full time, but God gave his family a house and provides all necessary materials. His family prays and supoorts S. Maria Kim while she stays in Canada for 6 months. We also thank God for using M. Rebekah S. Lee who serves 2 growing students with all her heart, and it is possible because M. Isaac Lee fully supports her.

We thank and praise the Lord who has been with us so faithfully and uses us despite all our sins and mistakes. May the name of our Lord Jesus be exalted through our life of faith.

Report: Founder's Day Celebration and Visiting M. Sarah Yoo in Iowa
October 26, 2008

On October 10, 2008, M. Paulus, Mercy Cha, and Rebekah S. Lee attended the 6th Founder's Day celebration at Chicago UBF, after having visited M. Sarah and Joshua Yoo's house church. The title was "CIS Pioneering Work." Around 500 people including many guests attended this wonderful celebration and were reminded of Dr. Samuel Lee's spiritual legacy.

Dr. John Jun gave the key note speech titled "The Glory of Zion" (Isaiah 2:2-4). Dr. John Jun prayed that God may make Chicago UBF, USA, Russia, and CIS as the Mount of Zion of all nations.

Next, Missionary Steven Kim presented CIS pioneering history with the title of "The hope of God." We could see how God accepted Dr. Lee's prayer for Russia even though the nation was under the Iron curtain at that time. Nevertheless, God's servant Dr. Lee gave us prayer topics to send missionaries to Russia in 10 years by 1995. God miraculously opened the door and sent missionaries to Russia in 1990. I heard that the Chicago coworkers ate Russian black bread at Friday meeting and that Dr. Jim Rabchuch sang a song called 'Moscow nights' on almost every Friday leader's meetings. I also heard that there was a Russian dance performance at each conference. Some missionaries saved money to visit Russia to plant the seed of prayer. Lee and M. Grace A. Lee visited Russia as tourists and even when the door opened, Dr. Lee and Grace A. Lee visited Russia over 14 times to serve and support its mission, missionaries, and conferences and sheep. I could see how much Dr. Lee poured out his heart and life to serve CIS pioneering work, and God blessed Russia and CIS pioneering work to the point that there are now 40 house churches throughout the CIS.

Dr. Sarah Han shared her heart-moving testimony titled "Jesus' Incarnation and Life-Giving Spirit" based on Mark 10:45. Shepherdess Lena Park shared her testimony and Dr. Peter Kim's testimony was about God's purpose in his own generation based on Acts 13:36a.

Especially in the CIS history presentation, M. Stephen said that Dr. Lee delivered a message based on Mk 10:45 saying, "Dear coworkers, nothing will happen unless you give your life. However, when you learn Jesus and give your life, there will be a life giving work of God." Dr. Lee also advised him, saying, "M. Stephen, Love Jesus more than anything else. Love the word of God more than honey. No matter what the Bible passage may be, accept and proclaim it as the living word of God."

Through M. Stephen's presentation, I could hear Dr. Lee's words, which moved my heart; it came into my heart so fresh that I repented that I was selfish and did not know to give myself fully but did only as much I can do. I did not struggle to go beyond myself because I loved myself too much and did not want to lose myself. It is also because my attitude toward the word of God is not that of Dr. Lee who believed and proclaimed the word of God as the living word. But I thank God who opened my heart and gave me a renewed desire to struggle to imitate Jesus and Dr. Lee's spirit. May God bless all of us to follow Dr. Samuel Lee's spiritual legacy.

We also thank God for giving us a chance to visit M. Sarah and Joshua Yoo's house church and have fellowship. We all prayed together for M. Sarah's health. I did not know them personally but when we heard the prayer topic through M. Rebekah S. Lee, our chapter began to participate in M. Sarah's time of trials. May God heal her completely. They have 2 children named Joshua and Hanna, and serve University of Iowa.

I also thank God for Dr. Paul and Sarah Hong who made time for us while we stayed at Riyadh house. Dr. Paul talked with us and gave us his spiritual lessons, experiences, prayer support, and we had a wonderful time.

As we departed in the morning after early morning prayer meeting, M. Grace A. Lee, Sunji Jun, and Anna Yang were full of love and servantship. M. Grace A. Lee wanted to feed us by any means because we had to leave right away, so all these servants were running all over to give us something to eat and gave us many gifts, even pocket money. Thank God for such wonderful mothers of prayer who set good living examples. May God bless UBF ministry continually to share the gospel of Jesus to many, and send out 100, 000 missionaries to 233 nations. May God also bless Canadian campus pioneering work.

Welcome Night Report
April 6, 2008

Thank God for blessing our Humber Bible Fellowship Club's welcoming night on Thursday, April 3 at Humber College!

By God's grace, this event was a great success!

We started off with sing-along led by Johnny Lee from North York chapter, who also performed his amazing new song called "You are Holy". Our club president, Bora Lee, enthusiastically welcomed newcomers. Then, Chantel Ryan had a powerpoint presentation about the club (prepared by Tim Park). Next, our guest speaker Andy Stumpf from Waterloo chapter delivered an inspiring message about bearing fruit in our lives. And Chantel, Bora and Sophia sang a beautiful special song "Amazing Love". Finally, we watched a heart-moving movie ("Facing the Giants") while eating pizza.

We all enjoyed the night; with the great turnout, it was fantastic and encouraging!

We thank God for our coworker from Waterloo and North York chapter for supporting us.

We could see vision and hope in serving Humber Campus with the gospel of Jesus - we can't wait for the next event!
